Solar Energy Office Opens.

The Virgin Islands Energy Office opened a new facility on Veterans Drive yesterday to demonstrate an all solar energy office. The cooling, computers, fax , phones and water pump and lighting in the office are powered by the photo-voltaic panels that get their energy from the sun. The power is stored in a desk sized unit that is the equivalent 100 car batteries. The power converted to Alternative current to power the units. You can visit the facility by calling the energy office and making an appointment. They want the school groups, business organizations and service clubs to come see the state of the art. It’s right across Veteran’s Drive from the Marine Terminal.
