Three Schools Get Accreditation
The CAHS, Ivanna Eudora Kean School and Central High School on St. Croix have all received their accreditation from the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. The schools passed, but there were red flags that they might not pass again if changes are not made. The accreditation committee called for improvements to buildings, safety and security.

Caneel Bay Workers Reach Agreement
Caneel Bay resort and the United Steelworkers reached a contract for the 190 employees at the resort. The steelworkers are holding a meeting today at the Territorial Court in St. John for all Caneel Bay Resort employees. That’s at 3:30 PM -.
Senate Passes Quarterly Taxes.
The Senate continued its session yesterday and passed a bill that will permit the taxpayers to pay taxes in quarterly payments. Senator Hansen proposed and passed an amendment to prevent the government from suing or filing a credit report against anyone to whom the government owes income tax refunds.
Mapp Says the Checks are Ready.
GLM says the refund checks from Island National are ready and the 500 residents who are due funds should have the money before Christmas. If you are supposed to receive a refund contact the Insurance Guarantee Association.

The Golden Goat was become the territories first slot machine. You remember we have been waiting for the machine called the Golden Goat to take cans on St. John.
