Red Cross on St. John

Disaster coordinators for the St. Thomas – St. John Red Cross held a workshop Thursday night on St. John. Disaster Services Coordinator Cyril Singleton walked those who attended the meeting at the National Park Biosphere through the different functions the Red Cross uses to meet disasters, big and small. The meeting was an opportunity to unite some of the people who helped St. John get through the 1995-96 hurricane season. Singleton says it’s now time to identify people on St. John who can perform each function and to make a disaster team that can respond directly and more quickly than teams traveling from St. Thomas.
