Congress Passes Our Loan
The US Congress has passed the bill that has the Virgin Islands 150 million dollar loan contained within it. Both the House and the Senate passed bills that include our loan, though the bill may be vetoed by the president. A conference committee is working out differences in the two versions of the bill. We’ll keep you posted.
Clean up in Progress
The clean up is in progress. Public works is enforcing the anti-litter rules. Place all your waste in a trash container. Don’t throw trash from a car or boat, When transporting trash make sure it is covered. Keep the sidewalk clean in front of your store or house. Abandoned cars must be removed.
Donation of China
So many people lost everything in the storm – Here’s good news. The American Red Cross and St. Thomas St. John Interfaith Recovery Response distributed hundreds of sets of china dishes that were donated by the Oneida Corporation of Rochester, $78,000 worth. The St. Thomas Assembley of God helped store the china until it could be distributed.
Kean Basketball with Alumni
Here’s a basketball game you don’t want to miss. Who plays better ball, the Ivanna Eudora Kean School alumni team or the and the Scholastic Basketball Champion The Devil Rays. The game is tonight at 6:30 at the Kean Gym and its part of the Kean Alumni month.

- United Way is within striking distance of their goal. There will be representatives of United Way at the Emancipation Garden post office tomorrow. Come contribute to United Way and make some good news for everyone.

Math Counts
The winners are in and MathCounts has some pretty good talent to send to the national competition. This years winners are Miguel Camacho of Country Day School. Jelani Nelson, Abraham Tarapani and Michael Turbe will make up the rest of the team. Congratulations to our top math winners.
