The Cop Cars are Coming

Governor Schneider announced yesterday that he is ordering more police cars and paying the long overdue overtime pay due to the police. He is also ordering more protective vests and release uniform allowance funds too. The Governor also set up an impress fund so local offices can manage their own office supplies and materials

Federal Review of FEMA Funds is OK

The Department of Interior has performed a survey of the FEMA loan from Hurricane Marilyn and found that the government used the funds correctly in accordance with the provisions of the loan. They faulted the government for not maintaining separate bank accounts for the FEMA funds and not providing enough of an audit trail. And the government forgot to refund interest earned on the loan back to the government. Overall, the job was done according tot he rules.

Catherine Mills Gets a New Job

She has’t been away from the spotlight more than a month, and already Catherine Mills has a new position. This time she is working for the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area regional director. Mills will join the war on drugs to assist the director with federal grants, budgets, proposal and funds requests.

Clinton seeks Peace and Quiet

We know that the president is coming this week. It is starting to show up on the national news. Everyone is reminded that the President isn’t here to listen to our troubles. He is here for a vacation. And the President is bringing the new Labrador puppy named Buddy to St. Thomas. So we get the first dog too, but the cat is staying home.
