The Governor is leading an attack to get more Federal grant funds.

He deployed his staff to develop programs that would maximize our return on grant applications, and to find more grants for which we are eligible but haven’t applied. Go for it. Here’s an example. There is a grant program for multi-family residential dwellings if they use cost-effective energy strategies. Your could get up to $500,000 for a project that demonstrated good energy conservation. Here’s a class that is really good for you. The Virgin Islands Housing Finance Authority is offering a nine week class that will teach everything you need to know to buy a house. They’ve made it easy and the class is being offered starting Wednesday February 7th a 6PM. 9 AM and 4 PM – Antilles Gas, 8 AM and 1 PM Red Hook Family Practice.

The Lutheran Church of the Reformation in Tutu is holding a service for the installation of Judith Spindt as their new pastor.

She faces a real challenge, the church lost its building in the storm.

The Federal Drug Administration has approved a new vaccine called a Varicella Virus Vaccine Live which is nearly 90% effective against the virus that transmits Chickenpox.
