Senator Hansen Says She Found 100 million dollars!
Senator Hansen announced that she had found 100 million from federal grants that will be returned if it is not spent. The Governors office counters that the funds are committed, they are drawdown funds not cash on hand. And must be spent according to federal rules – no swapping to other uses. Sorry Senator Hansen, there’s no Santa Claus.
Carib Air is back on St. Croix as the maiden flight came into Rohlsen Airport
The new service will bring more visitors to St. Croix. Carib Air is planning commuter service among the islands of St. Croix, St. Thomas, Tortola, Virgin Gorda, Culebra and Puerto Rico.
There is a special conference going on this week.
The vocational Industrial Clubs of America will teach over 2000 students some practical skills, like teamwork, self-discipline, a positive work attitude and resume writing. The five day program is going on at Charlotte Amalie High School, Kean, Central, St. Croix Ed Complex and the video conference facility. The Senate Finance Committee is meeting on St. Croix today to vote on appropriations for many areas of the government including the university, Dept. of Labor, Health the taxi commission, anti-litter commission, territorial courts, government operations and other areas.

It makes a hazardous situation for the linemen and the poles are not designed to hold up banners. The Virgin Islands Americas Cup Challenge announced that Topa Equities has agreed to be a major sponsor of the America’s Cup Challenge. Topa’s Chairman said the America’s Cup will revitalize business and help the Virgin Islands economy. He is pleased with the special program to teach the youth about seamanship.

On Denmark Hill, the seven ugly cars, GONE. the truck is going this week. The yellow regal at #2 Savan St. – Gone. And the Blue Mitsubishi in Market Square.
